with your arms out, eyes closed, heart wide open.
And with our backs turned, we’ve learned
(through all the burns)
to just let go.
I know...
you’ve given me reasons to doubt you;
and I’ve given mine, but I’m
hoping we can focus on the other things
we’ve lovingly given each other along the way.

knowing the ground’s never so far away.
We both say
“I’ll catch you”,
while never really knowing if the other truly will.

but in love through it all -
So I guess really,
