Skipping Stones

Skipping Stones

You ripple through me
like I'm the sea.
You're the stone
that's thrown
through the heart of me.

You've rippled through
this lonely calm,
nighted dreams
of risen dawn.

You ripple through
like you're the wind
through windowed pains -
I'm curtain'd thin.

And from this window,
we see the sea -
once all alone,
now smiling.

What's rippled through
and rippling,
is it you
or is it me?

What's rippled you
has rippled me...
You're the stone
and I'm the sea.
