Movies are dreams
for reality's sleep.
I, for one, hope the dawn never rises.
Films are hymns
from a hymnal that speaks
directly through God's disguises.
And what arises from scenes
are dreams of emotion,
an ocean of motion of pictures.
Icons and fixtures
distributing scriptures
like something that has to be taught.
A motion of pictures -
Box office richer
but surely our lives, as well,
escape from a hell
of what it would tell
if life never had a plot.
So give me the movies.
Allow 'em to soothe me,
and let reality sleep in its thoughts.
